Halloween wasn’t quite the same without the physical Shockholm parade last year, so we’re pleased to tell you that this year it’s back and it sounds spookier than ever! This Stockholm classic was started 10 years ago by New Yorker Bill Schacht and it runs from Kungsträdgården through the centre of Stockholm, then circles back again to Kungsträdgården. This year’s parade will begin on November 6 at 3.30 pm and run for around 4 hours, so it’s perfect for adults and children alike.
Attendees are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes and it’s a fantastic excuse to dig out the fancy dress because there’s a fancy dress competition at the end of the parade and it’s a lot of fun. Costumes are judged at the after-party which follows the parade and it will be great to see so many people out and about celebrating Halloween together this year.
The after-party usually includes some thrilling performances, and although this year’s schedule is yet to be confirmed we’re sure it will be just as brilliant as previous years. Plus, there are always Halloween-themed food trucks at the after-party to fill us up with creepy cuisine. So, if you’d like to read more about this year’s Shockholm as it’s announced you can follow the Facebook page and check out the %7D”]event page too.
