These stunning concerts will be here in time for Christmas.
The festive season is upon us and Fever’s ready to bring Stockholmers three sparkling classical concerts that would get even the grumpiest amongst us in the festive mood. As the nights become longer and darker here in Stockholm we have celebrations of light such as St. Lucia Day, and candles have long been associated with the winter months in Sweden.
So, when Stockholmers see the Golden Hall at Stockholm City Hall glowing with hundreds of beautiful candles for Candlelight’s concerts this December they’ll be mesmerized. The first of these beautiful concerts will be on December 19 – a stunning tribute to Beethoven and Mozart’s best works. A talented string quartet will create an incredible atmosphere in the iconic Golden Hall, which is so beautiful that it’s the room where the Nobel Laureate Ball takes place. Tickets are available here.
Then, on December 21 this stunning room, adorned with hundreds of golden tiles depicting the Queen of Lake Mälaren, will be filled with the sounds of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. As the candlelight illuminates incredible mosaics on the walls a string quartet will play a rendition of these impressive compositions. Click here to buy tickets.
Finally, on December 22 things will get super-festive, with a candlelit tribute to that Christmas classic, Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker. Vivaldi’s Four Seasons will also be played at the same concert and festive decorations will give an even more thrilling atmosphere to the Golden Hall. You can buy tickets here.
