Going out for a few beers is one thing and going out for cocktails is another. There’s something innately glamorous about it, and it’s so exciting to taste new flavour combinations with every glass. We can watch wide-eyed as dry ice laps at the glass or bubbles erupt suddenly on the surface, and Stockholm is full of amazing mixologists ready to make your night extra-special.
1. Surfers Stockholm
📍Norrlandsgatan 24, 111 43
Surfers serves the most delicious small plates of spicy Chinese food, and the spice doesn’t stop there, with tons of fiery cocktails to try. You can expect flavours like Sichuan pepper, ginger, mezcal and mango in these vibrant cocktails, and they pack a punch!
2. Lucy’s Flower Shop
📍Birger Jarlsgatan 20, 114 34
Lucy’s Flower Shop ranked 35th in a list of the world’s 50 best cocktail bars, and it’s definitely well deserved. Located within an empty flower shop in Stureplan, you would never have guessed that there’s a cocktail bar hidden through a door somewhere at the back of the shop. There are no tiny umbrellas or cocktail sticks in sight, it’s just flavours blended perfectly to create a taste unique to Lucy’s Flower Shop, and staff who really, really know what they’re doing.
📍 Hornsbruksgatan 24, 117 34
Also on the list of the world’s 50 best cocktail bars this year was Tjoget. This amazing restaurant serving food with Middle Eastern and Southern European flavours. Oh… and it’s also one of the best cocktail bars in the world! Tjoget’s team of mixologists really know their flavours and create some absolute masterpieces which pair perfectly with the delicious food.
4. Asian Post Office
📍Regeringsgatan 66, 111 39
Usually, when a restaurant claims to serve all kinds of Asian food it means that the food is probably going to be low quality. A restaurant that serves several cuisines well is a very rare thing, but it exists in Stockholm! Not only is the food delicious, but Asian Post Office also serves phenomenal cocktails. There are permanent and temporary mixes, so there’s always something new to try.
📍Regeringsgatan 66, 111 39
This bright, airy cocktail bar is full of foliage and refreshing flavours. Orangeriet is right by the water, and huge windows offer spectacular views. In winter there’s a roaring fire to warm yourself by and in the summer you can head out to the beautiful terrace to sip one of their perfectly mixed cocktails.
📍Gästrikegatan 1, 113 62
Erlands is the perfect place to head for a cocktail after a leisurely stroll around Vasaparken. You can even enjoy live jazz there on a Saturday afternoon alongside a delicious cocktail and lovely, relaxed atmosphere.
📍Brunkebergstorg 4, 111 51
There are four venues at Tak and you can enjoy delicious cocktails in any one of them, not to mention amazing rooftop views. At the bar and terrace, you can nibble on small dishes with one of their tasty cocktails, all named after the dominant flavour in each, such as ‘lychee’ or ‘mandarin’.
📍Mood Stockholm, Jakobsbergsgatan 17, 111 44
Who doesn’t like tapas? At Boqueria, they served the most mouthwatering little plates of tapas alongside creative, refreshing cocktails. They’re so refreshing that you could easily sip down a few and wonder how you got so tipsy, so be careful!
