Time to get your skates on!
Stockholm is full of great places to ice-skate, even in the Summer. You can skate year-round at these 5 skating rinks within the city, even when the weather is warm. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or a total newbie, it’s one of the funnest ways to spend a couple of hours in the city. It’s a pretty good way to exercise too, and very much a winter tradition in Stockholm.
1. Vasaparken
📍Dalagatan 11C, 113 24
Vasaparken has a lovely, medium-sized ice rink which you can visit from 8 am to 9 pm on weekdays and 10 am to 9 pm on weekends. It’s a great place to enjoy yourself on the ice. They don’t offer skates to rent so it’s necessary to bring your own with you. The beautiful park creates an amazing place to have fun.
2. Kungsträdgården

People have been skating in Kungsträdgården since the 19th century and there’s a reason for that. It’s an amazing place to visit and the atmosphere is just right at dusk. It is open from 9 am to 9 pm on weekdays and 10 am to 9 pm on weekdays. You can’t help but have fun here.
3. Östermalms IP
📍Fiskartorpsvagen 2, 114 33
Östermalms IP is a large ice rink, with plenty of room for everyone to state comfortably. They also offer skate and helmet rental. The rink, within the sports centre, is open 9 am to 11 pm on weekdays, 10 am to 9 pm on Saturdays and 9 am to 11 pm on Sundays.
4. Zinkensdamms IP

Zinkensdamms IP is another brilliant sports centre that offers a huge skating rink for people to have fun using. It’s open from 9 am to 9pm every day and it’s an amazing place to try, especially if you’re looking for a skating rink with a lot of space.
5. Medborgarplatsen
📍 Medborgarplatsen
Medborgarplatsen is a small, illuminated ice-rink in Södermalm. It’s a brilliant place to spend a couple of hours on the ice. If you are looking to keep your distance from others, this might not be the place for you. However, when the rink isn’t too busy it’s a lovely place to skate.
