December 22 will see two magical concerts at the beautiful Golden Hall at Stockholm’s City Hall and it’s going to be unmissable. Here to get you in the festive spirit will be a talented string quartet playing beautiful renditions of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, Vivaldi, and music from other master composers.
Lit by the flicker of hundreds of candles, this experience will take place in one of Stockholm’s most spectacular rooms. The Golden Hall hosts the Nobel Laureate Ball every year, and now it’s about to host these incredible concerts. The candlelight will bounce beautifully from wall to wall, which are decorated with gorgeous golden tiles making up mosaics of Stockholm city and the Queen of Lake Mälaren.
These hour-long concerts are organised in such a way that highlights the phenomenal venue, and they will take place at 6.30 pm, then again at 8.30 pm, with electric candles used to ensure everybody’s safety. Attendees should be over the age of 8, and anybody under the age of 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult. The venue is also accessible to those with disabilities and it’s sure to be a magical night in festive Stockholm, with plenty of festive-themed decoration to bring those Christmassy vibes.
