This place serves proper soft-serve.
In Stockholm, soft-serve ice cream (mjukglass) is incredibly popular. Despite the often cold weather, Stockholmers gobble down gelato like it’s going out of fashion, but it’s not all produced to the same quality. If you want to find proper, Italian-style gelato in Stockholm then head to Mjuk Mjuk and you won’t be disappointed.
This place serves authentic, creamy, Italian gelato, and owner Jeremy DiPaolo, originally from Los Angeles, trained in Asti, Italy to make phenomenal gelato. Behind the charming, understated shop front, Mjuk Mjuk offers a wide variety of tasty flavours. You can expect different flavours, depending on whether you visit the Hagagatan 37 shop or the shop within Västermalmsgallerian, including delicious combinations like milk and cream, and watermelon-coconut.
It’s not just the gelato that tempts customers back again and again. Toppings include brownie crumb and cornflake crunch, and you can add either salted caramel or dark chocolate sauce. If that weren’t indulgent enough, on weekends they offer a gelato taco, with a crisp chocolate taco shell and a gelato filling of your choice.
The fun doesn’t stop there, with a variety of tasty things to choose from throughout the week. You can grab a delicious sweet bun filled with gelato, or perhaps a decadent sundae. Or you could opt for a float – soft gelato floating atop some delicious cider or soda. They also make amazing iced coffee, so if you’re in need of a caffeine hit (and we all know how much Stockholmers love coffee), you’re in luck!
You can find Mjuk Mjuk at Hagagatan 37, 113 47 and Västermalmsgallerian, Sankt Eriksgatan 45-51, 112 34, and you can check what’s on offer via the website.
