“Such a magical evening”: The candlelit string-quartet tributes to popular musicians lighting up Stockholm

On the marketplace, each Candlelight concert plan is accompanied by a user-generated rating out of 5 stars. Attendees have the opportunity to rate their experience and leave comments, often considering factors such as venue, musicians, and atmosphere.

Candlelight’s talented musicians have spent countless hours performing to audiences around the world and perfecting their craft, so they know how to put on a show. String quartets, pianists, full orchestras, jazz bands and more have already put audiences under a musical spell in Stockholm thanks to their undeniable talent, musicianship and dedication to their art.

Needless to say, what elevates these already magnificent concerts is the ethereal glow from thousands of twinkling candles. The flicker of candlelight dances to the sounds of your favourite songs, creating an enchanting ambience that’s perfect to hear live music in. As the city’s most remarkable locations light up from a sea of glimmering candles, you’re immersed in a truly magical setting that seems to wash all your worries and cares away.

Since its debut, Candlelight has put a spotlight on some of the most legendary classical composers in history. Vivaldi’s iconic Four Seasons, Tchaikovsky’s famous ballets, and more, have sounded through some of the city’s most beloved venues. This way, both classical music aficionados and newer audiences can enjoy these timeless tunes in a gorgeous setting.

Candlelight showcases the eternal compositions of classical music, but it certainly doesn’t just stop there. In fact, one of the most impressive feats about these candlelit concerts is the way modern day hits are given a new, classical twist. Taylor Swift‘s iconic tunes have been given a classical makeover, and Rihanna’s hit-filled discography shines bright like a diamond as her hits are performed on strings. Bands such as Coldplay and ABBA have all received the magical Candlelight treatment, too.

What’s more, audiences have experienced the magic of the movies in a whole new light at spellbinding tributes to esteemed film composers such as Joe Hisaishi and Randy Newman. So, no matter what type of music you’re into, there’s sure to be a Candlelight concert for you.

During the performances, the musicians sometimes take a quick break between songs to share a small anecdote or fun fact about the original artist or song they’re covering. Perhaps it’s about the origins of the song, how it was composed, what the inspiration for its creation was or what the song means to the musician performing it. This adds an extra layer to the whole experience, and you may even walk away learning something new about one of your favourite artists.

Buying the same gifts over and over is no fun for either party but you can change that with Candlelight. There are gift cards so that your beloved friends and family can choose their own experiences or simply surprise them for Valentine’s Day, Christmas, birthdays and much more! It certainly takes the guesswork out of gift buying.
